Since inspiration for blog posts has continued to elude me, I decided today would be a good day to crochet for Shelly’s Share a Square project. So, in between checking email, puter scans, meals, thunder (but no rain), and general malaise, I’ve finished two squares already in progress and begun a third, in a vivid, sugar-pumpkin orange.
Cheerful, Halloween-y sort of color, orange, no??? 😉
Now, as you know, I ordinarily listen to Timothy B. Schmit when I’m crocheting. His voice is soothing and relaxes my brain enough to keep me from swearing at yarn, hook, or myself when I get tangled up–which is often–
but–alas–somehow none of Timothy’s songs quite seem to work with a cheerful Halloween-y orange–they’re too pretty and lacking in drama or kitsch–or maybe both.
And then, quite out of the blue, I began hearing this classic in my head–the perfect song to accompany a cheerful, Halloween-y orange.
So here I am, crocheting and giggling–and find that I’m getting enthused about–of all things–stories for the upcoming Third Annual 31 Days of Halloween–
I think all will be well. Oh, I may sneak a story or two in before then, but I’m getting inspired by orange and Boris to begin those stories.
