I have days–like today–when I really miss singing with my daddy. This song was one of our favorites:
A #7 hit for Connie Francis in 1961, it was recorded by the Wilburn Brothers on an album in 1962, but never released as a single, apparently. Dad and I sang the Wilburns’ version, with Dad’s Gibson J50 for accompaniment. Dad, bless his heart, couldn’t sing harmony to save his life, so he sang lead and I sang the third above.
